Samuel Herschkowitz, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Dr. Samuel Herschkowitz, M.D., is the founder of Serenity Pharmaceuticals and has served as CEO since 2007. He is a Clinical Professor at New York University Medical Center and has served on academic positions with Beth Israel Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical School and Downstate Medical Center. He is also a founder of several other health care companies and presently sits on several boards of directors. Dr. Herschkowitz is board certified in psychiatry and neurology, and he has been a fellow in immunology at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in 1971 and received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 1976.

Seymour Fein, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Seymour Fein, M.D., is a principal and cofounder of Serenity Pharmaceuticals, where he has served as the Chief Medical Officer since 2007. Over the past 35 years, Dr. Fein’s professional work has focused on drug development research, and he has been extensively involved in FDA approvals for over 20 drugs and devices. Dr. Fein is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Biology and received his Medical degree with honors from New York Medical College. Dr. Fein is board-certified in both oncology and internal medicine.

Ronald Nardi, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Ronald Nardi, Ph.D., is a principal and cofounder of Serenity Pharmaceuticals, where he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Serenity Pharmaceuticals since 2007. Previously, he served as the Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Research and Development of BioValve Technologies, Inc. He has more than 35 years of experience in drug discovery, development and regulatory affairs. Dr. Nardi received his B.A. in Biology from Temple University and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Toxicology from Rutgers University.

Linda Cheng, M.S.
Vice President, Project Management
Ms. Linda Cheng is a principal and cofounder of Serenity Pharmaceuticals, where she served as the Vice President of Project Management since 2007. Over the past 25 years, Ms. Cheng’s professional work has focused on drug development research and was involved in numerous FDA approvals. Ms. Cheng received a B.S. degree in biology and a B.A. degree in Sociology from La Roche College. She received her M.S. degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Duquesne University and went on to do extensive graduate work in this field at New York University and Rutgers University, which resulted in a number of publications.

Maria Cheng, Ph.D.
Vice President, Clinical Operations
Dr. Maria Cheng is a principal and cofounder of Serenity Pharmaceuticals, where she has served as the Vice President of Clinical Operations since 2007. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Cheng’s professional work has focused on drug development research, and she has been involved in numerous FDA approvals. Dr. Cheng received her doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was named University Scholar upon graduation. She then went on to do her post-doctoral research at CIIT in Research Triangle Park.
